The Children's Challenge

Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School educates our students in mind, body, and soul. We are so much more than just our great academics. In our world today, children need time to play, relax, and engage outside of the classroom. We strive to ensure that children have a campus that allows them the time and environment to be kids! Thanks to a $200,000 leadership gift from the Kornmann Family, our students will have a new playground behind the Duchesne Building and our upper school students will have a new recreational room in Kenefick Gym.

The Kornmann Family Playground will replace the existing playground behind the Duchesne Building with all-new equipment, a drainage system to address the poor run-off, and enhanced interaction for children aged 2 through 12. Students can dig in the new sandbox, spin out on the Christmas Tree Spinner, and climb to new heights on the Geo Web.

The Kenefick Recreational Room will be a place for students in grades 7-12 to come together. Whether it's ping-pong, foosball, pinball, or outdoor games like giant jenga, hillbilly golf, and checkers, the students will love the new space to relax and rejuvenate!
