AP Computer Science students recreated in the real world the computer code they are writing in GridWorld. GridWorld is a virtual game board filled with bugs, flowers, and rocks. The students use the terrazzo tiles in the school halls as their grid while experimenting with the code for jumping, dropping, and throwing. AP Computer Science teacher Claudia Dicken says the idea was inspired by the movie, “Tron,” in which players are physically pulled into a videogame.
