Attendance Requirements: CYC will be tracking ALL individuals—players, fans, coaches, volunteers—who attend a game or practice this season through an online form at https://www.teamsideline.com/sites/cycsouthcentral/form/4942/BB-Attnd-Villa
Anyone attending a game or practice, whether at home or away, will be required to demonstrate their compliance with this tracking requirement before entering the gym by displaying the confirmation email on their mobile device or providing a printed copy of the email. In addition, temperature checks will be administered at the door and gyms are limiting spectators to one per player. Please consider bookmarking the attendance site for use this season.
CYC SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION
CYC is planning to sponsor both golf and lacrosse seasons this spring. While CYC has officially cancelled their track meets, they have stated that parishes and schools may operate their own teams and have intersquad practices and a solo meet with limitations.
MIDDLE SCHOOL GOLF: Players will participate in three, 75-minute lessons at The Highlands in Forest Park on Saturdays, April 10, April 17, and May 24. Six matches will take place on six consecutive weekends beginning April 24 and running through May 29 at various local courses. The hard deadline to register for golf is Sunday, February 28; absolutely no late registrations will be accepted.
GRADES 3-8 LACROSSE: Lacrosse is open to both girls and boys. The season will run from early March through the end of May with no games over Spring Break or Easter weekend. The format for the season and league information will be available following an upcoming Zoom meeting with CYC and the lacrosse directors. That information will be provided in future issues of Youth Sports. The deadline to register for lacrosse is Sunday, February 28.
GRADES K-8 TRACK: Track is open to both girls and boys. Coach Boyle is tentatively scheduled to have practices on Wednesdays from 5:15-6:15 pm and Saturdays from 9-10 am beginning in early April. The deadline to register for track is Tuesday, March 30.
ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS
CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
