![]() ![]() Dear Villa and Oak Hill Families,
On Tuesday, January 5, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch published a news story about a lawsuit that was filed against our School in late December. We dispute the allegations made in the lawsuit, but we do not intend to respond in the media. The School is working with legal counsel to address the allegations.
My hope for our students is that during their time here, they are learning, growing, and deepening their relationships with God and those around them. While conflict is inherent in a school that fosters dialogue and critical thinking, we strive for relationships characterized by inclusion and mutual respect. We define ourselves as a welcoming community in which opinions can be shared openly and every voice is heard and valued.
I assure you that our primary focus remains on our mission of providing an excellent Sacred Heart education. We love and care for each and every one of our students, and we are hopeful for reconciliation within our community. Thank you for your support and trust.
Sincerely,
Michael F. Baber Head of School Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School 801 S.Spoede Road | St. Louis, MO 63131 314.432.2021 | www.vdoh.org | news@vdoh.org |
