CYC BASKETBALL
The 2nd/3rd grade boys season finale game scheduled for Saturday at Our Lady of Providence has been rescheduled for 5:30 pm Sunday, March 1, in Kenefick Gym.
CYC SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION
Please note the registration closing date for each sport.
MIDDLE SCHOOL GOLF: The season will begin the end of March with three straight weekends of lessons. Beginning with the weekend of April 24, the girls will compete in six matches, ending the weekend of May 29. The CYC South Central District Team Championship will take place on June 12. The Archdiocesan Championships will be held on June 20 and 27. Registration closes Saturday, February 29.
GRADES 3-8 LACROSSE: CYC requires that the games are played 8v8. For the 5th/6th grade girls to field a team, we will need a strong number or registrations. We will also need an interested coach or two.
Katie McLaughlin will coach the middle school team again this season. Practices are tentatively scheduled for Mondays on Fathers' Club Field from 3:30-5 pm and will begin March 9. The season will consist of eight games on Saturdays beginning March 28 with no games over Easter weekend. All CYC league games will be played at the Lou Fusz Soccer Complex this season. Registration closes Friday, March 6.
CYC is also testing the waters for 3rd/4th grade boys and girls lacrosse this season. Their goal is to get enough interest to place a couple of teams in the St. Louis Youth Lacrosse Association league. Registration for this will be handled by CYC's central office.
GRADES K-8 TRACK: Oak Hill PE teacher Patrick Boyle will coach the track team again this year. Practices are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday early evenings and Saturday mornings. The season will begin in late March. The CYC Preliminary Meet is scheduled for May 9 at St. Dominic High School, and the CYC Final Meet is scheduled for May 16 at DeSmet Jesuit High School. Registration closes Sunday, March 22.
Please note: middle school students may register for a maximum of two spring sports. Students are not permitted to play all three sports due to the numerous scheduling conflicts.
ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS
CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
