BASKETBALL
Varsity opened their season with a consolation bracket tournament win in the Fountain City Classic this past Saturday, winning two out of their three games in the tournament. Katie Rodrigues led the team in scoring for the tournament but all of the girls contributed to the result. Last night, after falling behind 11-0, the Saints fought their way back to tie the score with North Tech. Unfortunately, the Golden Eagles made a lay-up in the final moments and the Saints last shot to go ahead was not meant to be. Coach Morrow is proud of how the girls have begun their season and the amazing grit they have shown.
JV basketball played in the Metro League tournament last week. After losing their first two games, the Saints rebounded strong against Metro for a 40-19 win. Ava Gueck scored 10 points and Ryan Harper scored eight. Last night, the team defeated North Tech in an impressive 50-10 win. Sophie Walbrandt, Ava Gueck, Allison Smith, Ryan Harper, Maiya Smith, and Moriah Morrow all scored for the Saints.
SWIMMING
The swim team placed 10th over-all at the Marquette relays on Saturday. The 200 free relay team of Carly Fesler, Kate Fesler, Hattie McNulty, and Zoe Schoen and the 200 medley relay team of Caroline Roderick, Liza Brown, Carly Fesler, and Madelyn Schoedel achieved state consideration times at the meet.
