MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD HOCKEY
The middle school field hockey team was trailing Visitation Tuesday afternoon 2-1 with five minutes remaining in the game. The Saints' offense exploded for two, unanswered goals to take a 3-2 victory over the Vivettes. Since 2012, Villa has an overall record of 9-3 against Visitation. Villa ended their season on Saturday afternoon with a home game against Pembroke Hill. Trailing 1-0 late into the second half, Villa again showed their resolve by scoring with a minute remaining to earn a 1-1 draw. The Saints had a great season and scored a total of 28 goals in their 12 games.
CYC SOCCER
The K-1st girls defeated St. Peter on a brisk Saturday morning, 4-2. Oak received two goals each from Cate Buckalew and Julia Finney. Sophia McKinnis and Phoenix Hur played tremendous defense, as well. The K-1st girls have now won two in a row.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TENNIS
The middle school tennis team played at Westminster on a chilly Saturday morning but prevailed beautifully without complaint. Alex Todorovich placed second in the first draw. Margo Schoen and Eleanor Schake placed second in the third and sixth draws. And, Caroline Humes placed third in the fifth draw. Villa ends their season Saturday morning at Principia.
CYC VOLLEYBALL
The 8th grade team opened a busy back-to-back-to-back tripleheader at home on Sunday with a convincing 25-17, 25-22, and 25-15 win over St. Peter. In their second game, Villa defeated Marian Middle School by scores of 27-25, 25-15, and 25-16. In their third and final match, unfortunately, the Saints lost to St. Raphael by scores of 19-25, 22-25, and 8-25.
CYC BASKETBALL REGISTRATION
We are currently accepting registrations for the CYC basketball season for any interested participants in grades 3 through 8. The deadline to register is Sunday, November 17. Practices will begin the week of December 2 with team and individual pictures tentatively scheduled for December 7.

ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS
CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
