RED OUT FOR THE CARDINALS TOMORROW
Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School will be celebrating the St. Louis Cardinals tomorrow as they head to Atlanta for game 5 of the NLDS. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to support our hometown team by dressing in red or their favorite Cardinals gear! Students who do not wish to wear red or Cardinals gear should be in uniform tomorrow.
CYC SOCCER
The 2nd-4th grade girls played an away game at St. Mary Magdalen on Saturday. Oak Hill built a 3-1 lead in the first half, but St. Mary Magdalen came back to tie it late to make it 3-3 at the half. The girls came out firing in a dominating second half outscoring their opponents 5-0 for an 8-3 victory. Hayden Duffy scored four goals, Stella Vujevic scored three, and Lucy Clayton kicked in one.
The middle school soccer team got back to their winning ways with a 9-1 victory over Mary Queen of Peace on Saturday morning. Playing a road game with only 9 players against 11, Villa scored early and often to secure the victory. The offense was paced by Olivia Decker's hat trick and two goals each from Ellie Petersen and Emme Weis.
MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD HOCKEY
Villa played a double-header at home yesterday evening on Condie Field. The Saints lost to MICDS in the first game, but defeated Whitfield in the second game, 4-0. The balanced scoring attack included goals from Cat Mueller, Margo Schoen, Karie Adamitis, and Olivia Decker. Assists were recorded by Caeley Wilson, Lucie Littlepage, Grace Kraeger, and Margo Schoen. Paige Jackson earned the shutout in goal.
