CYC BASKETBALL

The 8th grade Duchesne team defeated Sacred Heart-Valley Park on Saturday at home by a score of 27-14. Villa received six points each from Kagan Mills, Caroline Potter, and Anna Winter. On Sunday, the Saints played again and crushed St. Margaret of Scotland by a score of 38-7. Anna Winter led all scorers with 14 points.

The 8th grade Villa team faced an undefeated team from St. Gabriel's on Sunday in Kenefick Gym. Villa played tremendously but fell just short. The Saints were led in scoring by Parker Bowers who scored nine points.

SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION

Registration for spring sports has begun.

CYC GOLF (grades 7-8): The girls will have three weekend lessons with a pro at The Highlands followed by six competitive rounds. The season will start after Spring Break and conclude by mid-June. Registration closes Thursday, February 28. There is no grace period with this deadline as CYC requires all golf rosters by March 1. Late registrants will NOT be accepted.

CYC LACROSSE (grades 5-8, girls): The 10-12 game season will begin after Spring Break and conclude by the end of May. Registration closes Sunday, March 3.

CYC TRACK (grades K-8): The CYC Preliminary Meet will be held on Saturday, May 11, at Chaminade High School and the CYC Final Meet will be held on Saturday, May 18, at De Smet High School. Registration closes Sunday, March 24.

Please note: middle school students may register for a maximum of two spring sports. Students are not permitted to play all three sports due to the numerous scheduling conflicts.

ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS

CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
