ALL-METRO AWARDS
Congratulations to sophomore Taryn Tkachuk on being named All-Metro Field Hockey Player of the Year. Congratulations, also, to the following players who were named to All-Metro First, Second, and Third Teams:
BASKETBALL
Varsity played a great game Monday defeating North Technical 56-30. Katie Rodrigues led the Saints with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Mollie Griesedieck had 11 points, Alexandra Dalaviras scored 10 points, and Maria Adamitis contributed eight. On Wednesday, Varsity had a close game with St. Pius but the Saints were able to close the game winning 33-27 with all of the players contributing to the win. Elizabeth Burns and Nancy Metz both scored six points, Mollie Griesedieck scored five, and Maggie Ignaczak added four. The Saints finished the week off hosting an undefeated Incarnate Word team. Although the Saints lost the game 23-90, Katie Rodrigues had her best game of the season scoring 17 points.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
The swimming and diving team split their dual meets last week. They fell to Westminster 112-70 at the beginning of the week, but came out with a strong effort against Incarnate Word, defeating the Red Knights 101-84. Emily Yn was a double event winner at that meet and Annie Fox was the top diver. The team's next meet will be a tri-meet versus Ladue and Visitation on January 10.
