CYC SOCCER

 

The K-2 boys played well in a victory over St. Dominic Savio on Saturday morning at home. Oak Hill received four goals from Jack Kelley, three from Kaiden Simms, and one each from Onzo Perez and Oliver Tacony.


The K-2 girls beat Sacred Heart-Valley Park by a score of 6-2 in their first of two games on Saturday at Fathers' Club Field. Oak Hill led 3-0 at halftime, but Sacred Heart scored the first two goals of the second half to make it a one-goal lead. The Saints responded with three unanswered goals to take the victory. Hayden Duffy netted four goals and Stella Vujevic added two. Julia Finney recorded two very nice assists as well. In their second match, the girls faced Our Lady of Lourdes and won 5-1. Stella Vujevic recorded a hat trick while Lucy Clayton added two goals. Harper Wise and Maggie Mooney both had nice assists.


The middle school girls opened a triple-header weekend with a strong 3-1 victory over St. Peter on Friday evening. On Saturday, Villa defeated Holy Redeemer by a score of 2-0. Goals were scored by Madolyn Mackin and Sophya Qureshi. On Sunday evening, the Saints wrapped up their season in fine fashion with a 6-1 victory over Holy Redeemer. Villa ended the fall with a tremendous 6-1-1 overall record.

CYC VOLLEYBALL

 

The seventh grade volleyball team defeated John Burroughs on Thursday on the road. The Saints took two of three sets against the Bombers. On Sunday evening, Villa lost at St. Gabriel by scores of 15-25, 13-25 and 20-25. The Saints ended their season with a strong overall record of 7-4.

 

CYC BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN

 

The CYC Basketball season is rapidly approaching, and registration is currently open for all in grades 3-8. The deadline to register is Sunday, November 11. Practices will begin the week of November 25, and team/individual pictures are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 8. Games will begin the weekend of January 11.

 

CYC SOCCER FIELD CONDITIONS/GAME STATUS

 

Again this year, CYC will be using rainoutline.com to share field conditions with parents. There are three ways to check field conditions and cancellations for CYC soccer:

  1. Visit the Rainoutline.com website.Tap a field to view the conditions, address, and a map to the field.
  2. Call 314.266.6925.
  3. Download the Rain Out Line app (iPhone and Android). In the app, search for CYC South Central. View the field conditions and/or listen to a message from the field manager.
 

ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS

 

CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
