SHARE ABOUT OUR OPEN HOUSE

Invite your friends, neighbors, and relatives who might like to learn more about Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School to attend our Open House from noon to 4 pm Sunday, November 4. A perfect way to share our Open House information is to post an Open House sign in your yard. Yard signs can be picked up in the Portry of the 1929 Main Building.

If you post an Open House sign in your yard, take a photo of your child next to it, and send it to admissions@vdoh.org, your child can earn an out-of-uniform day. We would appreciate it if you would also share this picture on your social media to help spread the word.

Parent volunteers are needed to help greet our visitors, and all students in grades 7-12 are asked to participate. Students will learn about signing up for a shift at school. Parents are asked to contact Therese Hagemeister, Director of Enrollment Management, at thagemeister@vdoh.org if they have any questions or are able to help.

PARENT NETWORK PRESENTATION | HIDDEN IN PLAIN VIEW

Join the Parent Network of Cathollic High Schools at 7 pm Wednesday, November 7, at Cor Jesu Academy for Hidden in Plain View, a presentation designed to help parents spot risky behaviors in children. Come learn how to spot warning signs and get tips for talking with children about the dangers of drug and alcohol use. No registration is required and the event is complimentary through the Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School Mothers' and Fathers' Clubs.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Bar none, the very best way to market a school is through parent and family networks. You are the authentic voice promoting Villa Duchesne to the outside world. You have family and friends (and they have family and friends, etc.) that may not have heard about all the great things we are doing here! Please be sure that you "share" our posts on Facebook and Twitter! This will go far to spread the Sacred Heart Strong message at Villa Duchesne.

HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS

With Halloween approaching, please be reminded that for the safety of our students and faculty with severe allergies, food/candy containing nut products should not be brought on campus.

Also, please note that only seniors are allowed to dress in costume on Wednesday, October 31. All other students should be in uniform.

MENU UPDATE

On the October 29-November 2 cafeteria menu, Halloween was inadvertently identified as Tuesday. The menu offerings for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week will be flip-flopped. Look for Muskrat Patties, Coffin Beans, Franken Wraps, and Goblins Noodles on Wednesday.
