MIDDLE SCHOOL TENNIS
Middle school tennis participated in a tournament at John Burroughs this past Saturday. In draw 1, Elle Jones took third place and Alex Todorovich took fifth. In draw 2, Caroline Potter won the championship, Maria Brouster took second place, Nicole Wendel took fourth, Sophya Qureshi took fifth, and Sophia Collins took seventh. In draw 3, Lucie Littlepage finished sixth. In draw 4, Haley Fusz finished in second and Hope Schenk brought home a sixth place. Rachel Singer was crowned champion of draw 6 and Carys Canepa was crowned champion of draw 8.
MIDDLE SCHOOL FIELD HOCKEY
Middle school field hockey had two great wins over Lincoln and Liberty this week. The team has shown tremendous teamwork and sportsmanship. Middle school currently holds a 6-2-2 record and looks forward to playing MICDS and Pembroke this week.
JUNIOR SAINTS SOCCER ACADEMY
Senior Marissa Menendez is hosting her fourth Junior Saints Soccer Academy from 3:30-4:30 pm Friday, October 19, on Fathers' Club Field. The clinic is free and available to all interested Oak Hill girls in grades K-6. No registration is needed. Marissa, who is entering her fourth year on the varsity soccer team at Villa Duchesne, has a passion for working with youth soccer players and brings a wealth of playing experience to share with our girls. Players are asked to bring their own soccer balls and water bottles.
CYC BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN
The CYC Basketball season is rapidly approaching, and registration is currently open for all in grades 3-8. The deadline to register is Sunday, November 11. Practices will begin the week of November 25, and team/individual pictures are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 8. Games will begin the weekend of January 11.
CYC SOCCER FIELD CONDITIONS/GAME STATUS
Again this year, CYC will be using rainoutline.com to share field conditions with parents. There are three ways to check field conditions and cancellations for CYC soccer:
ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS
CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
