FIELD HOCKEY
Last Tuesday, the middle school team played a double-header at home on Condie Field. In their first game, Villa tied John Burroughs, 0-0. Paige Jackson earned the shutout in goal. In the second game, the Saints scored another draw, 1-1, with Westminster. Karie Adamitis scored the lone goal assisted by Elizabeth Kraeger. Last night, Villa played in another home double-header. In their first game, Villa faced Lincoln Middle School from Edwardsville and came away with a solid 3-0 victory. Goals were scored by Georgia Leary, Olivia Decker, and Cecelia Kraeger. Assists were recorded by Karie Adamitis, Georgia Leary, and Lucie Littlepage. Cat Mueller earned the shutout in goal. In their second game of the evening, the Saints defeated Liberty Middle School also from Edwardsville, 1-0. An early first-half goal by Ella Robson and solid goaltending by Paige Jackson was the key to the victory. Ella Robson's goal was assisted by Margot Schoen. Villa's current overall record stands at 5-2-2, and they are undefeated in their last six contests.
CYC SOCCER
On Saturday, the K-2nd grade boys defeated St. Peter by a score of 6-1. Liam Mooney recorded a hat trick while other goals came from Hayden Kornmann, Andrew Potter, and Jack Kelley. Onzo Perez played tremendous defense and aided both Frederic Schneeberger and Eamon Weis in sharing the shutout in goal.
CYC VOLLEYBALL
The 8th grade volleyball team traveled to St. Bridget of Kildare on Sunday and won all three matches. The final scores were 25-21, 25-15, and 25-24.
MIDDLE SCHOOL TENNIS
The middle school tennis team participated in a tournament on a chilly Saturday morning at MICDS. Elle Jones won the championship in draw 1 and Alex Todorovich placed second. In draw 1, Maria Brouster claimed the runner-up spot and Caroline Potter placed fifth. In draw 3, Lucie Littlepage placed third and Hope Schenk came in fifth. Haley Fusz won the draw 5 championship and Carys Canepa finished fourth in draw 6.
CYC BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN
The CYC Basketball season is rapidly approaching, and registration is currently open for all in grades 3-8. The deadline to register is Sunday, November 11. Practices will begin the week of November 25, and team/individual pictures are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 8. Games will begin the weekend of January 11.

Again this year, CYC will be using rainoutline.com to share field conditions with parents. There are three ways to check field conditions and cancellations for CYC soccer:
ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS
CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
