FIELD HOCKEY

The middle school team traveled to Westminster last Tuesday and won, 2-0. Goals were scored by Cecelia Kraeger and Georgia Leary. Paige Jackson recorded the shutout in goal.

On Monday, Villa hosted Visitation Academy. Earlier this season, Viz posted a 2-1 victory over Villa. The girls showed tremendous improvement last night as they avenged that early season loss with a solid 5-0 victory over the Vivettes. The Saints received goals from Elizabeth Kraeger (2), Georgia Leary, Lucie Littlepage and Ella Robson. Assists were recorded by Margot Schoen (2), Elizabeth Kraeger, Cecelia Kraeger and Georgia Leary. The shutout in goal was earned by Paige Jackson.

CYC SOCCER

The K-2 boys beat St. Cecelia on Saturday morning at home by a score of 8-0. Kaiden Simms led all scorers with three goals.

The K-2 girls improved their record to 3-0 with a 4-0 win over a previously unbeaten Christ Community Lutheran School. Stella Vujevic and Hayden Duffy each had two goals and Harper Wise and Layne Birenbaum shared the shutout.

The 3rd/4th grade girls remain undefeated with a record of 2-0-1 after an 8-0 victory over St. Cecelia. Josie Weis scored two goals for the Saints. Caroline Herman earned the shutout in the goal.

The middle school team also remains undefeated with a record of 3-0 after their second consecutive win over Tower Grove. Villa received three goals from Anna Winter and one from Hope Kleeman en route to a 4-1 victory.

CYC VOLLEYBALL

The 6th/7th grade team opened their double-header on Sunday with a 23-25, 25-17, and 25-17 victory over Christ the King in the Kenefick Gym. In their second match, the Saints faced Our Lady of Providence and lost by scores of 15-25, 19-25, and 21-25.

The 8th grade team could not seem to get ahead and lost to Christ the King by scores of 23-25, 25-17 and 25-21. Later that day, the Saints lost to a determined St. Margaret of Scotland team by scores of 25-23, 25-19, and 17-25.

CYC BASKETBALL REGISTRATION IS OPEN

The CYC Basketball season is rapidly approaching and registration is currently open for all in grades 3-8. The deadline to register is Sunday, November 11. Practices will begin the week of November 25 and team/individual pictures are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, December 8. Games will begin the weekend of January 11.

ID CARDS REQUIRED FOR ALL CYC PARTICIPANTS

CYC requires all participants (regardless of grade) to provide a CYC picture ID card to be able to participate in games. If your child is or will be participating in a CYC sport and does not yet have a CYC ID card, please order one.
