Villa Duchesne Nuts and Bolts | September 6, 2018

PHILY WEEK

Phily week, derived from philanthropy and the name of our foundress, St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, will be celebrated by grades 7-12 beginning September 15 with Global Service Day followed by a week dedicated to raising awareness about our brothers and sisters in need. The week will be packed full of donation opportunities to help raise funds to send to St. Jude's Children's Hospital for cancer research as September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Activities, selected by high school student council members and the administration, may include karaoke, movie watching, slip and slides, pep rallies, and more. Students may also be invited by classmates to sleepovers or movie nights to help continue fundraising. By the end of the week, the grade that raises the most funds will receive a surprise reward.

Our hope for Phily Week is to raise school spirit in preparation for the school year and the Villa vs. St. Joe Field Hockey games on September 22. The students will be living their Sacred Heart goals through service and community.
