SWIMMING & DIVING

Six of our students competed in the MSHSAA Swimming and Diving State Championships held last week at the St. Peters Rec Plex. Peri George competed in the 100 butterfly, taking 3rd, and the 100 backstroke, taking 6th. Carly Fesler, Marly McNulty, Peri George, and Caroline Roderick competed in the 200 freestyle relay taking 7th overall. These same girls also placed 9th in the 200 medley relay. Caroline Roderick, Judy Clark, Marly McNulty, and Carly Fesler placed 17th in the 400 freestyle relay. Annie Fox competed in the state diving competition and took home 8th place. Overall, the girls placed 10th in the Class 1 competition, scoring a total of 82 points for our team. Great job, Saints!

BASKETBALL

Last week, varsity lost to a strong Cor Jesu team, 32-47. Lauren Gast scored 12 and grabbed seven rebounds. Emma Deines scored seven points, and Emma Mueller pulled down eight rebounds. The Saints play Lutheran South at home this afternoon and Rosati-Kain tomorrow. Good luck, Saints!

Junior varsity went 1-1 last week with a hard fought win over Fort Zumwalt East. Katie Rodrigues led the scoreboard with Maggie Ignaczak leading the team in rebounds. It was an all-around team effort this week.

PASSPORT TO SUMMER: BASKETBALL CAMP

Passport to Summer is offering a Basketball Camp for students entering grades 9-12. This camp will run from 9 to 11 am June 11-14. Due to MSHSAA regulations, upper school athletic camps are open only to Villa Duchesne students. Visit Passport to Summer to learn more and register.
