This merit-based, renewable scholarship pays tribute to Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne, RSCJ, and her zeal for education, for faith and for working to make our world a better place. The Philippine Duchesne Crossing Frontiers Academic Scholarship is awarded each school year to students entering VDOH.
Recipients must demonstrate academic excellence, aptitude for achievement, diligence and leadership potential. For a student to be considered for the Philippine Crossing Frontiers Scholarship, he or she a must have high standardized test scores (SSAT, Iowa Basics, ERB, Stanford, MAP), strong grades and desire to pursue a Sacred Heart education as evidenced on the essay portion of the Scholarship application. The essay portion should be completed by the students for grades 7-12 and by the parents for grades JK3-6.
Students who qualify for The Philippine Duchesne Crossing Frontiers Academic Scholarship are notified when they receive their acceptance letters. The scholarship automatically is renewed each school year through graduation if the student remains in good academic standing. Award amounts are from $2,500 - $5,000.

The Sister Lucie Nordmann Scholarship Award is available to one new or returning student attending Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School in grades JK3 – Grade 12. An award will be granted to the recipient or recipients. Eligible recipients must be strong academically, as demonstrated by grade reports (if age appropriate), standardized test scores, and positive teacher comments, the student and his/her family must demonstrate a desire for and an openness to learning and furthering personal growth, and show a demonstrated and active participation in their faith. While the recipient and his/her family are not required to be Catholic, they must show evidence of strong religious beliefs. The award will be reviewed annually providing the student maintains his/her eligibility.
The Child of the Sacred Heart Scholarship is available annually to at least one new or returning student attending
The Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat Tribute and Memorial Scholarship is available annually to two new or returning students attending Oak Hill School, one based on Sacred Heart legacy and financial need, and the other based solely on financial need.
This is an academic scholarship for students entering Villa Duchesne in the seventh grade. The scholarship pays tribute to Janet Erskine Stuart, RSCJ, an internationally-recognized educator known for her great compassion, wisdom, and intellect. The Mother Janet Erskine Stuart Academic Scholarship will be awarded each school year to students meeting the following criteria:
1. Entering Villa Duchesne in the seventh grade
2. Scoring in the 90th percentile or above Total on the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) Independent School Norms
3. Maintaining a core academic average in fifth and sixth grade of A- or aboveThe amount of the scholarship will be determined by the student's SSAT score:
- 96-99th percentile = $3000 renewable academic scholarship
- 93-95th percentile = $2000 renewable academic scholarship
- 90-92th percentile = $1500 renewable academic scholarship
Students who qualify for the Mother Janet Erskine Stuart Academic Scholarship are notified when they receive their acceptance letters in the spring with the scholarship automatically renewed each school year through graduation if the student remains in good academic standing.
The Hawes Family Scholarship is available to one new student entering the seventh grade and is renewable for the eighth grade. Eligible recipients meet the school's academic admission criteria, demonstrate financial need, and, through their application, demonstrate a significant understanding of the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Education. Recipients receive approximately $4,000 in aid each year based on market performance.
The Sister Anne Webster Scholarship Award is available to students entering the ninth grade (either from Villa Duchesne eighth grade or new to the School) who show a strong desire and commitment to their Sacred Heart education. One award of $1,000 will be granted each year. Eligible recipients must be strong academically, as demonstrated by GPA and standardized test scores and have positive teacher comments, demonstrate a desire for and an openness to learning and furthering personal growth, and show a demonstrated and active participation in their faith. While the recipient and her family are not required to be Catholic, they must show evidence of strong religious beliefs by submitting a reflective essay on the five Goals and Criteria of a Sacred Heart education, written by the prospective student. The award is renewable each academic year for a maximum of four years providing the student maintains her eligibility. Demonstration of financial need is preferred.
The Sister Mary Gray McNally Alumnae Association Scholarship is available annually to a student entering the ninth grade who demonstrates financial need and whose mother or grandmother is an alumna of either Villa Duchesne or City House. Recipients receive $5,000 in tuition aid each year to follow the student through graduation as needed. This scholarship is funded by the Villa Duchesne-City House Alumnae Association.
The Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne Scholarship is available to two students entering the ninth grade from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in St. Charles. Each recipient receives $2,000 in aid each year to follow the student through graduation based on continued eligibility. This scholarship is based on academic excellence and is funded by Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School.
The Richard Littlefield Scholarship is available to one new student entering Villa Duchesne grades 9-12. Eligible recipients meet the school's academic admission criteria, demonstrate financial need, and express a sincere interest and previous achievement in science through the submission of a written essay. Recipients receive approximately $5,000 in aid each year, based on market performance, to follow the student through graduation as needed. This scholarship is funded by an anonymous donor.
The "Alive in Christ!" Scholarship Program is part of Archbishop Robert J. Carlson's strategic plan for Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. In an effort to promote active recruitment and increased enrollment of children in Catholic elementary schools, the “Alive in Christ!” Scholarship Program seeks to provide financial assistance to those families (both Catholic and Non-Catholic) who wish to offer their children an education at a Catholic elementary school in the archdiocese. Scholarship awards are based upon financial need of the applicant and will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis.
529 Savings Plans
The federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act means 529 savings plans—plans that allow families to save for educational expenses—can be used for private school tuition grades K-12 as well college costs. More than 30 states, including Missouri, offer a tax deduction for households that contribute to a 529 plan. Please consult your financial advisor as to the tax consequences associated with 529 plans.
We offer need-based financial aid for families with students in Kindergarten-Grade 12. ALL requests for financial aid, whether it is for a current or prospective student, require parents to complete an online financial aid application with SMART TUITION AID. The school ID code is 12537.

Notification of Financial Aid:
Once your application is processed, a financial aid recommendation will be forwarded to Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School. All final decisions, including notification of an award (if any) will be made by Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School.
