Oak Hill students don't just use computers, but master multiple technologies. In addition to computer stations, all Oak Hill classrooms have interactive SMART boards that are more effective than traditional tools in reaching today's students. And, with the support of our technology department, teachers fuse the technology with the curriculum to provide differentiated instruction for each student. The program instills in students not only the technical skills they need today, but prepares them for the technology of tomorrow.
We believe technology is meant to enhance, not replace, the high quality of teaching and learning in our school community. From our kindergarteners producing their own research videos to our sixth graders mastering lessons with Tablet PCs, technology is used to encourage and empower students to develop their multiple strengths and intelligences. The integration of technologies, led by the teacher, enhances learning quality; improves student problem-solving skills; and promotes teamwork as well as independence.
