Theology

Through her study of theology, a Villa Duchesne graduate will have a knowledge of the Judeo/Christian scriptures to be able to understand and connect them to her daily life; have a strong foundation of the Catholic faith, including its history, doctrine, and worship; have the necessary skills to reflect upon and evaluate her own attitudes and behaviors toward God, self, and others; have explored and experienced various forms of spirituality and prayer methods that will enhance and sustain her life after graduation; and understand what it means to live a life of integrity, morality, social activism, and service with a profound respect for all types of diversity.

"In geology, we did a lab in subduction. (That’s when tectonic plates meet with one sliding under the other!) We had two graham crackers and we put vanilla icing on one and chocolate icing on the other. Then we put a whole bunch of candy on the vanilla one and had to scrape it along the chocolate one to show the different levels of the seaboard."
