Duties will include the preparation and instruction of two sections of American Literature, and two British Literature courses. A master’s degree in English and teacher certification are preferred. Three to five years of high school teaching experience is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to student-teacher relationships, have a strong expository background, and must be willing to work in a one-on-one composition program. Middle School Science Teacher

Duties will include preparation and instruction of three sections of earth science (7th grade) and two sections of physical (8th grade). Full-Time Mathematics Teacher
Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School is seeking candidates for a position in the mathematics department. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to teach middle- and high-school mathematics courses from Pre-algebra to AP Calculus and AP Statistics. Candidates must be able to teach using an investigative approach in conjunction with dynamic geometry and statistics software. A minimum of 3 years of classroom experience, and Missouri state teaching certification are required, and a Master’s degree is preferred. Day Care/Nursery Teacher Assistant
Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School seeks a teacher assistant for our Employee Daycare Center (EDC). The program serves children from infancy to 3 years. This position assists in implementing the program for the EDC in accordance with child development best practices performance standards, state licensing regulations and Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School policies and procedures. The Teacher Assistant will work to foster a positive and caring environment, ensuring the health, welfare and safety of all children. Candidates must have a minimum of two years experience as a child care provider, preferably with a focus in infant care. A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or equivalent work experience is preferred. The successful candidate must have the ability to recognize and effectively respond to the various physical, intellectual and emotional needs of infants and toddlers and a demonstrated passion for the care and education of children. Candidates must also meet the physical requirements of lifting and carrying infants, toddlers and equipment. Compensation is commensurate with experience with a competitive benefit package. Full-Time Social Studies Teacher

Duties will include the preparation and instruction of World Civilizations Level 1, Pre-history to 1700 (ninth grade) and Level 2, 1700 to present (tenth grade). The successful candidate must demonstrate a willingness to collaborate with other department members in developing the World Civilization curriculum. A preferred emphasis of study in World History, a Master’s degree, and prior teaching experience in an independent school setting is preferred.
