Extended Day Program

An extended day program is offered for children in junior kindergarten. This program extends the school day for those enrolled from noon until the regular dismissal time at 3:15 p.m. The extended day program begins with lunch in the classroom with the teacher. After lunch the children enjoy a quiet time during which they look at books or play quietly. The teacher then reads a story which becomes the subject of a work project that follows. Recess is next followed by nap time. After nap, the children complete their projects or choose from various activities which include drawing, playing with table top toys, using manipulatives, computer activities, or enjoying books. The afternoon ends with clean-up, circle sharing, prayer, and preparation for dismissal. Parents may choose to enroll their children in this program for five days per week, or for three days per week-Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

After School Program
Junior Kindergarten - Grade Six

The Oak Hill after school program is available to all Oak Hill parents. The program is in session every full school day from 3:15 p.m. until 6 p.m. Two adults supervise the children. The program is conducted in the Oak Hill Activities Building. Supervised play, activities, and time for homework are components of the sessions. Students must be regularly enrolled in the program to participate and are not accepted on a drop-in basis.
