  Oak Hill Music

Music instruction is provided twice a week to all students kindergarten through sixth grade. The major goals of the program are to increase the sensitivity of the students to the power of music and to develop their abilities to perceive music as an art form; and, in addition, to appreciate music as a means of expressing moods, feelings, and emotion. Children are provided numerous opportunities to sing and perform including singing at weekly mass and performing for special occasions during the school year.

Every student at Oak Hill learns to read music and play the recorder. Three computers allow students to sharpen their musical skills in the classroom. Two extra curricular opportunities, a handbell choir and concert choir, are available to fourth, fifth and sixth grade students.
