Villa students get a jump on earning college credit through Advanced Placement, Honors and/or 1-8-1-8 Honors Courses. AP courses are offered in Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Satistics, Computer Science, American Literature, British Literature, European History, U.S. History, Spanish and French. In the Class of 2008, 78 percent took at least one AP course.
Honors courses include French, Spanish, Physics, Chemistry, Math Analysis, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Mid-East Far East, American Government and Economics, Classics in Translation and World Literature.
Courses carrying college credit from Saint Louis University are offered through the 1-8-1-8 program in American Literature, U.S. History and Spanish.

Tenth: World literature, math, physical education, theology; three or four of: fine arts, performing arts, foreign language, social studies, and science
Eleventh: British literature, theology; five or six of: fine arts, performing arts, foreign language, math, physical education, social studies, and science
Twelfth: American literature, theology; five to seven of: fine arts, performing arts, foreign language, math, physical education, social studies, and science
The use of technology, its tools and the teaching of ethics is woven throughout all curricular topics. Courses deemed "technology" are placed in the Mathematics, Science, and Fine Arts curriculum.
