Oak Hill Physical Education Expectations
The A, B, C’s of Physical Education
- Actively participate in all class activities.
- Be a good sport and play fair.
- Cooperate with others.
- Do your personal best.
- Expect success.
- Follow all safety and classroom rules.
Student Assessment
- Students receive marks for assessment in the areas of participation and achievement. Participation reflects the student’s active involvement in the daily lesson. Achievement reflects the student’s demonstration of age appropriate skills in each activity.
Medical Excuses
- A student who needs to be excused from participation during a class must bring a note signed by a parent or guardian to the Physical Education teacher. In the case of an extended absence, a doctor’s note is required, including the return date. Although the student may not be able to fully participate, he/she is to report to P.E. class and remain there for the entire period unless other arrangements are made with the homeroom teacher.
- A student on medical excuse for more than one half the number of class meetings will not receive marks in that particular activity.
